In order to be “AOC Miel de Corse” approved, honey must come from nectar and/or honeydew foraged by Apis mellifera ecotype Corse bees on spontaneous and natural plant associations of Corsica.

The Corsican honey – Mele di Corsica is a produce consisting of complex floral characteristics with typical markers of the island’s flora. Its general characteristics can be broken down into varietal ranges defined by

the succession of beekeeping production and function of blooms throughout the year.

Corsican honey has odors, aromas and flavors that may be widely different depending on the range of varieties.
